Huge gap in accepted shares between two different mining pools

Newbie solo miner here, I'm testing two pools with the lowest latency for me. Does the number of accepted shares make a difference in the chance of hitting a block?

Accepted shares in the past 2 days:

Zsolo: 6300

ViaBTC: 21400

Why such an enormous difference?

The pool with more shares accepted may be at a lower share difficulty.

I've been testing out a few different pools to see which one is the best to put my four gammas on. Coinminerz had the best ping but also gave me the fewest shares so it doesn't make much sense to me either. Maybe it has something to do with latency? Going to try https://eusolo.ckpool.org/ next and see how it does.

@fleta_crist Lower latency means your mining rig receives new work faster and submits shares more quickly. Here's a link I just shared on another post that shows the fastest mining pool from your location, based on stratum latency https://myminingrig.com/stratum-ping-pong/
