My new gamma is happily toiling away around 1.1 TH/s, give or take.. but I've seen others get way more out of it. I found this pic online of a gamma doing 2 TH/s. Could I possibly achieve something like this if I had a better psu? Anyone tried this and/or have psu recommends for gamma?

If you upgrade the psu make sure the fan and heat sink are in proper working order or you may fry your bitaxe lol.

@sunny-skies123 Yup it already came with a fairly robust heatsink and upgraded fan (noctua). It's running steady at 54 degrees with 68 degree ambient and fan at 90%. Heatsink is stock but no issues there. Can you even upgrade a heat sink?

Have you already tried adjusting the core voltage/frequency settings?

@maddhatter16 well this is embarrassing but no, I have three of these miners now but still somewhat of a newbie when it comes to mods and settings. What would you recommend as a starting point to these adjustments? I know I have to keep a close eye on temps if I start tinkering with the settings..

If you plan to overclock you may need a better psu. I recommend a meanwell power supply for bitaxe. This is the one I use https://www.amazon.com/Mean-LRS-350-5-Power-Supply-Signs/dp/B07PDTDKRY?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1

@tech-guru2025 Nice! Looks like it has plugs for 3 units but enough power for more? Could I, theoretically, connect more units if I splice? 🤔

@magicmike42 Hmm, I'd say yes but remember the power rating shown is always "peak" so you never wanna reach that. Rule of thumb is don't exceed 80% of capacity so... this one is 300w and the gammas consume 25 to 30w each.. I wouldn't stack more than 7 just to be abundantly safe. You technically could get away with 8, but not worth even the small risk IMHO.

@magicmike42 typically a meanwell 5v 300w on Amazon will be enough to run several bitaxes at once.
