I just placed an order for an Umbrel server and plan to mine using my own node with Bitaxe! This should be interesting I hope I know what I'm doing lol

I did this too, was basically plug and play, except I'm not sure how to tell if I'm actually mining. Is there a UI or dashboard somewhere online that shows me?

@satveer12greene There's a web GUI available via your Umbrel, probably on port 2019.

I have a mini pc I'm not using with a 1tb nvme ssd. I've always sorta wanted to put an umbrel on there but haven't found the motivation yet lol.

from what i've heard you just set up the public pool and it automatically connects to the BTC core. I watched a few videos about this on youtube.

How fast a computer would I need to do this? Could I do it on an entry level computer like an N100?

@charlenebenning I'm not sure what an N100 is.. is that a model number? The pool server just manages job distribution and shares from miners; it doesn’t do any mining, so you don't need an ultra fast for computer. However you do need enough disc space for the node or at least a pruned node. I'd aim for 1tb and preferably NVME since that is faster than SATA.

@cryptoxpert13 I couldn't get umbrel to boot properly on mini pc so I tried it on a pi and it worked right away.. not sure exactly what I did wrong on the pc, but it's been running fine for over a month now on the pi.
