You should always ensure that you are using an updated version of your USB NM Lottery Miner in order to optimize its performance and make it compatible with the latest mining techniques. The positive side is that updating is fast and easy to do.
This guide will show you how to update the firmware of your Bitcoin Lottery Miner with the help of the official firmware updater.
Why You Should Update Your Firmware
Upgrading your miner’s firmware will provide you with:
- Greater system stability
- Increased performance efficiency
- Fixing bugs from older versions
- Support for newer mining pool setups
It is advisable to upgrade your miner firmware whenever possible to the most recent version available.
Step-by-Step Firmware Update Guide
Here’s how to update the firmware on your Bitcoin Lottery Miner to the latest version.
Step 1: Open the Flash Tool
Go to:
https://flash.nmminer.com/
Step 2: Select Your Device Settings
At the absolute top of the screen, you need to make the following choices:
Supported NMMiner Devices: Choose esp32-2432s028r-st7789 or esp32-2432s028r-ili9341 based on which chipset your miner has. You won’t know for certain whether it’s one or the other, but either one of them is bound to be right. (It can’t hurt your hardware, no matter which you choose.)
Firmware version: Choose the latest version, which will appear at the very top of the list (the current version is 1.8.28).
Baud rate: Enter 921600.
Step 3: Connect Your Device
Plug your device into your computer via the USB cable that was included with your order. Select “connect and program” on the top right side of the screen.
Then select your device in the window that pops up, wait ten seconds, and hit “connect” in the pop-up window.
Step 4: Start the Flashing Process
Your screen will go dark (this is normal).
Once you see code start scrolling down the screen, your device is being flashed. Ignore any error messages you see on the screen, as long as the code is scrolling, then it’s flashing correctly.
Step 5: Handle Connection Errors
Sometimes the code may not start scrolling when you hit “connect”, but instead you’ll receive the following error message:
[Object.debug:362] Finished read loopCouldn’t sync to ESP. Try resetting.
If you receive this error message, that is OK. Just unplug your device, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and repeat the process. Sometimes it may take a few tries before the device flashes successfully.
Step 6: Wait for Completion
In about 2 to 3 minutes, your screen will wake up again. Ignore any error messages on your screen. You are successfully flashed. You should see the new version number appear at the top right of the screen for just a few seconds while the device starts back up.
Step 7: Configure Your Device
The Config part will pop up on your screen, appearing at the bottom of the screen as seen in the image below. All that you have to do is add your Bitcoin address, enter your WiFi details, and click “Configure Device.” (In case you need to mine using other pools, you can change the default pool addresses with yours.)

Mining Pool Setup
If you want to connect your NMMiner to the Axeminer Solo Bitcoin Mining Pool, use the following credentials:
Primary Pool: stratum+tcp://pool.axeminer.com:7777
Username: Your Bitcoin Wallet Address
Password: x
